We went on tour with Royal Caribbean, too many people on the bus, we went to Florence, too long of a trip, 2 hours each way. Florence was disappointing, we were taken to shops & saw some buildings, not grand like Rome. I would not return back to that city

Ship docks right in town however you need to take free provided shuttle to get out of the industrial port. Excellent old city to explore.

Again, we made arrangements in advance for a private our guide. We visited Cinque Terre and had a fabulour day. It rained in the morning so we delayed our tour and had a fabulous day.

We took an excursion, not ship excursion, to Pisa (from company at port) for €40. This was in a 9 seater vehicle. Excursion to Florence and Pisa was €70 but not enough people wishing to do this excursion when we got off the ship.

Organised shore excursion to Portovenre, lovely little place but you had to get a public boat over there and back and it was SO BUSY. absolutely crammed with people.
