The cruise & ports we disembarked was a trip of a lifetime for me as I shared it with my son, daughter-in-law, & two granddaughters. I had never been on a cruise before & it exceeded all my expectations. The overall customer service was exceptional! Enjoyed the total experience. Each port we visited offered many things to see and we enjoyed them all. Cinque Terre was probably my favorite.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Great-- ship left on time and our cabins were ready when they said they would be.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The specialty restaurants were a 5 star-- great menus & fabulous customer service. The main dining room was good - 4 star -- I liked the changing menus-- the food was ok-- found if you ordered the special of the day-- the quality was better. The shrimp cocktail was very small shrimp & the pasta with mussels and scallops was not very good. The service experience was great & our servers were very attentive. I only ate the buffet at the Windjamer for breakfast & that was very good-- lots of choices.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The choice of activities was fabulous. We were traveling with my grandchildren & they loved the pool, rock climbing & the boogie board water activity.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The shows we attended were very good. We had booked a few others but our off shore activities tired us out so weren't able to attend all of the ones we booked.
Children's Programs
My grandchildren didn't participate in the children's programs but we visited the facilty & it was definitely a great perk if you needed to use it.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service from every aspect of the trip-- waiters, room steward & other ship personnel was great.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The focus on cleanliness was evident everywhere. Staff was deligent in picking up plates & trash by the pool, offering hand sanitizer when you reenter the ship after disembarkment, & all over the ship was impressive. The common areas were very well maintained & I like the layout of the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
My cabin was great-- I shared it with my two younger granddaughters & we found it large enough for us & comfortable. Cabin was always clean & steward did a great job of handling our requests.
Ship tip
I think preplanning ahead of time is critical. We made all our reservations in advance & had our credit card on file for our seapass card & also paid for the internet-- doing that allowed us to enjoy the ship the moment we boarded.
In advance made arrangements with a private tour guide through local tours. We visited Aix en Provence, Cassis, & the basicalla in Marseille. Great day!
Again, we made arrangements in advance for a private our guide. We visited Cinque Terre and had a fabulour day. It rained in the morning so we delayed our tour and had a fabulous day.
Again we made arrangements for a private tour guide with a driver tailored to our needs. We were able to see all the sites we had selected. It was a great day!
We visited Capri. Took the ferry from Naples. We took a boat tour around capri & blue grotto. Also, took the chairlift to the top-- it was amazing. Great day!
