Tender port. Extremely shaky. Cannes is an overpriced village by the sea. Unless you need something from LVMH or want to see Monaco, I'd stay on board.

This port city is actually a very nice place to have lunch and take a stroll. We decided to take the train to Monaco, which was kind of confusing. We had very little time here because the last tender left at 5 pm. The tendering process was fine but confusing since we had never done it before. The way home was much easier/less waiting than the way off the ship.

The canne film festival was on with the 700,00 extra people in town (saw Tone Cruise and Jonney Dept) the ship did not tell any of the customers on the epic, (because they did not want people cancelling the shore excursions that day, which I know three guessed at I told about the festiveal that played texus Holdom in the casino)

We were very unhappy with this excursion. It was one of two that we booked through Norwegian. The excursion either needs to be longer in time or a tour guide who is not a robot. After being on the bus and arriving in Nice, the guide just started to take our group on the tour. There were several (at least 10 out of 40) who asked about bathrooms and the guide pointed them out and explained them but kept right on with the tour. She should have taken the hint and stopped for a 10 minute restroom break and then continued on with the tour and everyone would have been much more comfortable. She also said to grab something to eat there or buy something to take to eat as there would be no time for lunch later. It was 10:30 in the morning. Most of our tour group left her as soon as she said where to meet back at and what time to take care of their human needs. After we met back up, we walked through a beautiful park to meet up with our bus. Our bus was not there and was at another location ready to pick us up. Our guide had to communicate with another bus driver to get in contact with our bus driver and he then came to where we were waiting. This wasted about 20 - 30 minutes of our tour. From there we went to Ese which is beautiful. Then we went to tour a perfume factory. This is where there could be time allowed for a nice lunch. Those who don't want to tour the perfume plant could get lunch or make the tour longer to allow for lunch. I do not recommend this tour the way it is planned out now. Our tour guide kept saying over and over that if we didn't get back to the ship in time that she would call them and let them know and that the ship would wait for us. This was not very assuring. We did make it back in time but barely.
