Fjord trip awesome. Book early it fills up fast. We booked with an outside tour operator on Viator because ship excursion full. But Viator used the same vendor as Viking. Right in harbor by the port. Cheaper on Viator. but we did not get the Viking heart-shaped waffles - no loss.

We went on the 'hop on, hop off' bus tour. It was very expensive for what it was. Port very nice, had a walk around.

Certainly not as picturesque as Flam and Gerainger and Alesund would have been but nice. Did the fjord cruise to Pulpit rock

We did the oil museum trip and had a great guide. Had a walk around Gamle and the tourist office is very helpful. You can also post your postcards from here.

The heavy rain didn't help on that day- but not much to do! We had pre-booked the boat trip down the Lysefjord to see pulpit rock- but it the rain & mist spoiled it a bit! The old town is worth walking through.

We took public transportation to the Pulpit Rock hike. It was a great day and we saved a ton. The ferry/bus cost us $35 each and gave us an extra 45 mins in the park before the crowds arrived.

A good example of a typical Norwegian fjord town. The Sardine Canning Factory Museum was superb - live demos of very noisy old machinery!

Via de Koningsdam een excursie geboekt naar de Preikestolen. Per ferry overtocht gemaakt en de klim naar de Pulpit Rock was een ware uitdaging. Het bleek een klim over onbegaanbare paden en rotspartijen. Het geeft veel voldoening als je deze tocht hebt volbracht. Bijzondere natuur en fraaie uitzichten.
