Wow! The highlight of the trip. Hire your own tour and don't listen to the scare tactics that the firm uses to get you to take the over priced excursions they offer on the ship. We had no issue with getting off the ship and our tour was fantastic. The ballet was a great add on.

Did the heritage museum tour, Peterhof palace tour, private motorboat ride and prince Vladimir palace and fountains. Enjoyed all three days touring Russia. Only complaint was the crowds at the attractions.

So much do see. really research your activity levels on the excursions. we had 2 8 hour plus excursions band a ballet. we made it but others didn't. and as always don't drink the tap water.

Hired a mini van with driver and guide. Excellent over 2 days. Saw everything we wanted to and missed the queues. Highly recommended. You can have up to 16 in the van for $900 which is far cheaper than a visa would cost you.

Excellent excursions! Museums/palaces a must to see and Russian lunch with entertainment great. And having 2 days allows you to do more too.

Did Imperial St Petersburg tour on day 1 to Peterhof where we toured Catherine’s summer palace and gardens. Both were spectacular. Returned to St Petersburg by Hydrofoil boat 30 minutes across the Gulf of Finland. Had a nice lunch in Prince Vladimers Palace in the city then toured St Petersburg. Excellent tour but a long day. Day 2 we did the Pushkin & the Hermatage Museum another great tour. Both days were great but very tiring back to back.

We took the Pushkin and Hermitage tour, which ws for about 7 hours including lunch served in a restaurant in parks of Catherine place. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and caring

We had 3 tours, Puskin and Hermitage, night of music at Shervetov Palace and the next day at Peterhof!!! WOW, to see Russia, be in Russia and have that memory for the rest of our lives.

My favorite! Maria from Alla tours was the best ! She was a wealth of knowledge and very personable. So much history! The Hermitage and the Peterhof estate was my favorite!

Our favorite port! Awesome tour guide! We took the top 2 day Grand tour. A very unique city and an very memorable tour! Amazing palaces and churches with so much gold! Only non positive comments are crowds on most tours, and we could have spent another day in St Petersburg; so much to see. Breathtaking!
