A Cruise to Remeber for Life!

Sail Date: September 04, 2008

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The NCL Jewel is a very clean, easy to get around and newer ship! We have been on the NCL Sun and NCL Pearl (which is a sister ship) and this was just as nice as the Pearl or any of the other 11 ships we have traveled on.

Pros: Wonderful Ports of Call, Great Ship and Great Tours

Cons: Nothing

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? Yes!

St. Petersburg, Russian Federation
We had 3 tours, Puskin and Hermitage, night of music at Shervetov Palace and the next day at Peterhof!!! WOW, to see Russia, be in Russia and have that memory for the rest of our lives.
Don't Miss: Take as many tours as possible but MUST SEE-Catherines Palace, Peterhof and Hermitage Museum
Stockholm, Sweden
Our shortest length of time port because our trip included extra stop of Oslo which most trips did not have. The final few hours into Stockholm and out of Stockholm cannot be missed. BEAUTIFUL
Don't Miss: Few hours into port and out of port are wonderful. MUST SEE VASA!!!
Tallinn, Estonia
Great walking tour of a true medieval town.
Don't Miss: Walking tour (if are able)
Oslo, Norway
One of our favorite cities. We could live in a place like this. Very friendly, great danish and coffee and very laid back!
Don't Miss: Tour of city and some time walking around downtown. Very easy to walk back to ship here!!!
Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany
We took train to Berlin. Warnemunde looked very nice however why come all this way and not go to Berlin. The day was very long but everyone enjoyed the day and we would do it again!
Don't Miss: Berlin Tours!!!!
Copenhagen, Denmark
Beautiful!! Our land and canal cruise gave us a great overall view of Copenhagen!
Don't Miss: Little Mermaid, Royal Palace and Canal tour!
Helsinki, Finland
We took the Water tour and it was a great way to view city. Maybe would have been good to add the land and do the Land and Water Tour!
Don't Miss: Good to do at least short tours at all stops so you know what you are looking at. Still have plenty of time on your own, even with a 3 hour tour!
