Came from Heathrow to Southampton via National Express Bus. Very clean efficient and comfy . Remember to put your seatbelt on, cause it is mandatory. Took a cab from the train station to my hôtel. Then, walk and took photos in the sunny alternoon . Next day was embarkation day. Sent really well.

Windy and they can't dock the ship in the same place they left from when winds are high. This will leave you very inconvenienced when trying to get your car parked across town or screwing up taxi arrangements made prior to sailing.

Stayed at Chilworth Manor the night before our cruise. What a beautiful place, parking, and transfers, top motch breakfast, the gardens breathtaking.

If you are on a back to back cruise, visit IKEA which is a short walk from the pier. IKEA has free wifi and lots to see. I found some goods that I do not see in the US IKEA. It is also linked to a big shopping center if you have time to kill.
