We loved this seaside town - we took a tour of the islands and saw the most beautiful and colorful houses. They love their boats here! We enjoyed some waffles at one of the islands too - reminded me of my growing up time on another island thousands of miles west!

Pretty, tiny town across lots of islands. Get an all day ticket on the ferry so you can hop on and off as you please.

I like this port, we have been before, and they are building the port up. The exchange rate offered by the 'land train' was not the best - 100 Kroner (for us that worked out to 10 pounds sterling which i purchased before the trip) or 15 pounds sterling, 15 euros or 15 us dollars, to take you to a place that takes only 10 mins to walk. A nice street of shops etc but again not cheap.

Der Weg vom Kreuzfahrtschiff in die Stadt dauert 15 Minuten und ist sehr schön zu laufen. Vorbei an schönen Holzhäusern, tollen Brücken und vielen Skulpturen.

We went to the fishing village of Lillesand. Very quaint and beautiful. Nice ride out there. Not much content to spend a tour on.

Did the schooner boat trip interesting but a bit cool be prepared even if a sunny morning ! The boat did provide blankets but an extra layer of clothing would have been useful
