Took the Blarney Castle excursion. Long lines to kiss the Blarney Stone, so didn’t bother since we had to get back on the bus anyway. So just toured the castle grounds.

Yes we took an excursion. No big deal and the excursion was very short. The guide didn't give us enough time at the shopping place and we couldn't get down to see the important places. '

Beautiful city. Also travelled to Kinsale. Again, the excursion (from Celebrity) had longer travel time than time at the location(s).

Blarney Castle, or tour guide did not warn us to head for the line to the castle, no pictures, no bathroom stop. On our entire bus, only 1 couple made it through the castle, the rest of us knew we would miss the bus back in 1.5 hr. Gorgeous grounds.

This is the first port after 7 days at sea. We were confined to our cabin because of food-borne illness and had to miss the port.
