The BN35 - Hiking Mount Floien hiking excursion was overbooked in that there were around 28 of us for one petite and very quiet guide. That became a problem when some of the more aggressive people ignored the guide's direction and decided to hike well past the turn around time, almost causing the ship to delay for us. We recommend skipping the excursion and leaving the ship early to get to the funicular before the crowds, hike around for a few hours, and then beat the crowds down. The crowds ate up 45 minutes of hiking time and set the day behind.

Ship was moored fairly close to Bryggen. had a look at the old buildings and then took the Floibanen funicular up Mt. Floyen which has good views and goats. Then had a moose burger in the fish market.

We’ve been to Bergen before in May. It was a little cloudy and drizzly but it is winter! We were supposed to snowshoe here but there was no snow ❄️ ! So instead we were going to go on the cable car up the mountain but it was too windy. Instead our wonderful tour guide took us on a longer included city tour. She had great information about Bergen. We also got to see the Stave Church. We did the post excursion stay in Bergen. We thoroughly enjoyed going up the funicular. Saw wonderful views on the top of that mountain. Met two extremely pleasant Norwegian ladies who walked up the mountain! Also went to the art museums in Bergen. Saw some Munch paintings

We had our berth changed at the last minute so we had to disembark in the actual port which was not very ascetically pleasing, the shuttle bus only took you to the dock gate and it was about a 10 minute walk before you made it into the "nice" bit of Bergen. There wasn't really much to do except shop or go to the vehicular (the ques where out of the entrance and part the way down the road) and it rained, which it does a lot in Bergen.
