Dont forget to bring your passport or your student card as there are generous discounts fot entries to eg the Acropolis if you can prove with your age you have old age pension or you are a student

We had been here before and had seen the Acropolis and Parthenon. Athens tends to be crowded and dirty, but we took a nice 1/2 day excursion through the ship to show the highlights of the city and the tour guide was excellent and made the trip worthwhile.

The boat missed our port in Athens due to a political riot. We were so unbelievably dissapointed. It was replaced with Crete, that couldn't compare with Athens in the slightest. No freebies, appologies, or refunds were given.
