Athens was like a dream, it is hard to believe your eyes! Seeing these places standing in the middle of a modern city is incredible. I do recommend getting a guide so you can get the details of what you are seeing.

Took the hop on hop off excursion and the bus driver decided to dump everyone off the bus at the first stop. Didn't give us instructions--just dumped us. Complained to guest services when we were back on board and our money was refunded. Athens as very touristy and overcrowded with people and souvenir stores.

Parthenon and the Acropolis

The heatwave shut down tours to the parthenon, so that was disappointing.
