The town was kind of run down. We took an excursion to the Posiden temple, but we didn't see anything else. It was a rather long trip tp see one small ruin.

Had excursion to the museum and also a dinner with entertainment. The dinner was good and the dancing was also very good. However, Athens was dirty and had a lot of graffiti on the walls of the buildings.

I visited Piraeus (Athens), Greece on my own, not through Azamara. I enjoyed Athens very much. Excellent historical sites to visit.

Excursion to Acropolis and Parthenon is a must. It's a hike and it's very crowded. Like Disneyland.

By the 3rd Greece day we were a little exhausted from the Santorini hike but enjoyed seeing the ancient Acropolis! This was a great 3/4 hour tour as it focused on the ruins.

Almost went back to ship that day couldn't find the train into Athens. Hired a taxi driver for 5 hours and ended up being a wonderful day. Took us to all the sights and stopped for a great lunch!
