Took that discounted bus offer for 20Eur. We got there 20 minutes before set time, and a bus was already packed and ready to go. We waited along time to get another bus. I started to go to another line to inquire, they quickly got a bus for us, but the bus had stayed in the dock yard too long, and got a ticket. We got a really nice and knowledgeable guide. There were just a small group of 20 of us. So, we lucked out. The bus took us to the Syntagma-changing of the guards (we missed it), Oympic Stadium and the Acropolis. the line for the tickets were not too bad. The guide went up with us. We had a little time to shop. We heard about tours with the same itinerary, but zoo-like crowd and unintelligible tour guides.

Best port on this part of the cruise. Visited the Acropolis, Mars Hill, Plaka and the Temple of Poseidon, along with some Olympic sites. Plenty of Roman ruins and influence there. Had a great meal of all local food as part of our tour. I highly recommend everyone to see all you can in Athens!!

Very lucky Cruisers here! Received a free excursion from our travel agent through “Distinctive Voyages”. Although it was rainy weather, we had a wonderful tour. Bus ride to Acropolis Museum with awesome tour guide Eva, and driver Costos. Eva spoke very good English entire tour! Bus stopped at many historical landmarks. Museum is excellent with new exhibits. Lunch was traditional Greek meal (all food was tasty) with wine and water. Option after lunch to hike up to Pantheon or enjoy Palaka “down town”. We didn’t hike due to rain. Left Port at 0830 Arrive back 1530. 🇬🇷😍
