Piraeus is a port city. Travelers have to take the time and visit Athens and its historical sites.

See Accropolis. The city is big. Was quite clean this time compared to 1 year before the Olympics when Athens was in disarray.

Used the hop-on/hop-off bus. Would not recommend driving as streets are crowded and jammed. Parthenon was great; but, plan on walking steps. If you have time, visit the shopping area with street markets, accessible from the hop-on bus. Everything is sold there.

Amazing. Don't get suckered in by taxi drivers. Take red hop on and off bus. Very reasonable kids are free and very thorough.
