Locals were NOT friendly to cruise passengers, not easy to get around either for elderly passengers

Been there twice. Cruise terminal is in the city, walking distance from aquarium and marine museum. Old town is nice too, but we like a lot the marine museum. Well maintained, lots of multimedia areas - don't forget to take your passports from the entrance - 6d theatre, submarine in the courtyard and so other pleasant surprises.

Amazing....we ported and opted to take the Portofino excursion. Just gorgeous. The drive through the mountains was amazing and then the ferry to Portofino was delightful. The place was awesome...good shopping and just so romantic. Downside is that it was just a 1/2 day trip. We wish we could have stayed longer.

We LOVE Genoa. The people are awesome. The city center is awesome. Go to Christopher Columbus' home if you are from the USA. We lover the local shopping and sites. I HIGHLY recommend walking around near the old pirate ship.
