This port is really far away from Rome. We did not do an excursion here because we started our cruise here. Rome is a really big city, and having a day on a cruise is not a great way to see it.

The Ports were excellent which sold this cruise to us. However it does become a bit too much to have 5 ports and only 1 day at sea

I love Rome - we booked a private driver with the ship. It was great and we hit most of the main sights. Our driver then dropped us off at the airport as our flight was later that day.

From here you go to Rome. I was in Rome last year so went on an excursion to the Italian Countryside to see a wine vineyard instead. Wouldnt recommend this. Its pretty lame and also a long bus ride. Go to Rome instead

Please inform people that they will have to travel over an HOUR by train, to actually get to Rome. We wasn't prepared and it cut into our time for the activities we had planned.

We have visited Rome twice before, so went on an excursion to Bolsena Lake followed by a wine tasting. It was fine but not extraordinary.
