Did not do an excursion thru the ship since we had a day before and 2 days after. This is hard to rate as Rome since it is an hour away. The port itself is not as beautiful as the others on the trip.

Seeing Rome in less than 4 hours is an INSANE idea. Do what we did: go to Tarquinia and the Etruscan Necropolis. Truly inspiring. You need at least a week in Rome.

I had been to Rome before all construction and renovation. Understand it being necessary however wife and friends did not get to see Trevi Fountain operating, etc.
