We didn’t look round the town but got the train through RCI to Rome fantastic only took 50 mins to get there. Rome I love it can’t get enough of Rome.

The port is ok but just the nearest to Rome If going to Rome be sure to book the Roma Express train to Rome And pre arrange for a private guide if you want to avoid the long Lines at The Vatican. Do not try to do it on your own.

90 minutes bus ride to Rome from the port...not enough time to see everything. Vatican, Trevi Fountain, etc. was packed...rude tourists and too much traffic.

You really need to have a "Rome" strategy. And maybe figure out all the "line jumping" things before you go ... we saw the Colloseum, but didn't go in. We saw the Vatican, but didn't go in. It's our own fault for not planning better. We still saw amazing things on our walk, but were a little disappointed we didn't plan it out better.
