We got on in Rome and spent three days there before embarking. It was my 5th time there so we did some different things. We did the Catacombs which was the number One highlight of the entire trip. we also did the Borghese Museum which was fabulous, also Castle de Sant Angelo and several other great places.

At this port there were many companies offering excursions. We joined a large coach which left the port at 9.30 am and cost €35 per person plus €2.50 for earphones. This was a fully escorted excursion with Pamela providing lots of information. Lots of walking and it was 32 degrees that day. We didn't stop for a food break until 2.50 pm. If doing this again I would take so.e snacks with me.

We did Rome on our own and there was more than enough to fill our two days. So many treasures to see, but we spent most of our time at the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. There were crowds, but we were not overwhelmed.
