We did Barroche Rome which was great. We saw the entire city (all the important sites) & went past the ruins as well. We also had time to see the Vatican. It was an extremely comprehensive tour with a nice meal and a great guide.

Rome is the only main attraction - over one hour away

We did the nine hour bus tour, but as with Livorno what you want to see is over an hour away, so you do not have the time to see a lot of things. It was a good taste though. We would like to go back.

The only problem was not having enough time. There is so much to see in Rome. One day is never going to be enough.

Taking the t train from Civitavecchia was no problem in the least. We got on the "hop on hop off" bus in Rome and took in the major sites! The return trip was quite fast!

As clergy, I can't say enough about Rome and its Christian sites - especially the art.
