Hands down the best experience of the trip was riding the Segways through the tiny streets of Cagliari. Also, there are two Marine ships down on the waterfront that produced flags and nautical treasures for my collection.

Not the best port. Loads of graffiti everywhere. Do the City tour bus and you will see some of the more interesting bits. Good size shopping area.

Did the included excursion, a walking tour, which was fine. But there are better ports of call in the area, or would have liked an overnight in better ports.

Much better than Olbia, but still not much to do. Try the wines, they're really good because the local legislation mandates low per hectare production, which leads to a more concentrated, aromatic product.

Did our own thing. Walked up the hill and I mean hill, it was hard work on a very warm day to the amphitheater and then across to palace, church and Bastione San Remy. Then back down to the port where we had plenty of time so we caught the hop on bus tour to see the outer areas.

We liked the town, but the excursion was described as "easy" required quite a bit of walking (steps, hills, uneven roads). Also, the description said there would be a stop at the beach, but we only drove by it. This is not for older people or those with health limitations.
