the volcanos are well worth seeing but the hike is rough. DON"T try to walk up to the top of Santorini, the steps are bad but the mules impossible.

Take the cable car up to Fera. Everyone says to stay away from the donkeys. If for no other reason, the smell is atrocious! Then, take the bus to Ia. It leaves every 30 minutes from the main plaza. I wouldn't rent an ATV or bike to do this because the highway is treacherous on the side of a cliff. The views are amazing and IA is SPECTACULAR. Just like in postcards.

I loved Santorini. I walked all around and took many beautiful pictures of the blue domes and lovely houses and churches. This was by far the most beautiful place we visited on our cruise.
