very croweded in summer. be careful if you take the mules up to the town center as we qued a long time and once we paid 5usd for the mule we wound up walking up two switchbacks anyway which scared the kids and myself. you can get stepped on by the large animals and need to be careful. it is not organized and hit or miss who you get to take you up. i was also sent up alone with a guide to make my mule go so it took way too long.

The port is to remote. excursion to beach was beautiful but the return trip made me feel abandoned, very crowded and chaotic and unorganized to catch cable car their should be an option to return to ship

It's a great view of the ocean but really there is nothing to see except small white houses or the ocean. Was very disappointed, while many others of the cruise enjoyed it immensely.

Santorini was very touristy and the most crowded port we visited. I would not want to be here in high season. Very expensive island. My wife and I least liked this island the most. Spoke to some locals in Athens who agreed with our assertion on Santorini. Visited Thira, Oia and Akrotiri Archaeological site. Toured on my own. Hiked the caldera from Thira Town to Oia. Also visited the Museum of Prehistoric Thira before going to the ancient ruins of Akrotiri.

Be a man, walk up and down the steps with the smelly donkeys 😄. The town up above is rather too touristy. The only way to see the town is walk far away from the tourist areas and into the tiny alley way. We got lost and ended up in some pretty authentic neighborhoods.

Nice island but much too crowded with cruise ships.

Has to be the most beautiful ports in Greece. When you are there be sure to stop in any local restaurant for a bite, you won’t be disappointed. Be sure to stroll through the streets of the old town to really get a sense of this beautiful island.

LInes were very long. There were too many shops for our taste. Be advised that walking the 700 steps back to the ship may save time (lines for the cable car are long) but you will walk around donkeys and dodge donkey droppings the whole way down--plus it stinks!
