Oh wow…..if you need an escape, go to Mykonos Island, Greece. Wonderful little beach town with a cobblestone boardwalk (if you can call it that). We ate Mediterranean food for lunch and found the very best lemon gelato ever (Davinci’s). There were beautiful yachts in the harbor. We walked 1.5 over to the restaurant area and water-taxied back. Our favorite island so far!

Don't go to the ship-promoted beaches. Take a local shuttle or taxi (20 euros) to Paradise beach. It's 15 minutes away and has bars/restaurants and all amenities.

LOVED THIS PLACE!!! We did the Ancient Delos excursion which included a wild boat ride back from the island and then spent the afternoon in Mykonos town exploring the shops, restaurants (go to Familia!!) and windmills.

Amazing, one of my favourite stops. Just disembark and go on a wander! We spend an hour at the beach then walked around the shops and stopped at a bar on the front (very expensive but worth it for the view).

This was a beautiful island. We did an excursion in the morning to a monastery and had some appetizers and ouzo before heading back to the ship. Then took a shuttle that dropped us a short distance from the town and walked around to where the windmills are. It was a bit cold and windy, but the colors of the water are just gorgeous, changing to all shades of blue and green. We had gyros and coffee (Greek coffee is almost "chewy.")

We were 'on our own' in Mykonos. it is a lovely town with plenty of walking and steps. We did some shopping, and enjoyed some Ouzo at a local restaurant.
