Kotor was our favorite though Dubrovnik and Pompeii come in a close second.

We did the History and Glamour of Montenegro tour. Loved it, as it included a visit to Budvar and gave us time to explore Kotor too. Tip: get up at dawn to watch the sail in, and stay up until sail away at night.

A very nice surprise. Didn't have high expectations but really a beautiful spot. We hired a local to show us around for 2 hours. Perfect amount of time and only about 80 euros.

Do it yourself, do not pay ship rip-off excursion prices!

This city was very beautiful and full of character. And also full of cute cats. We did not make the climb up to the castle, but the city itself was fun to explore, too.
