I hired a taxi to drive us around and he took us to places where we can take good pictures. The Olympia was a waste of time even though the taxi driver did take us there.

Not much to do there except the Olympic birthplace, which is lovely and shady (as opposed to sun-baked Delos)..

We went to the Olympia site and had a marvelous time touring the ruins. Our tour guide was well informed, spoke perfect english and great the whole time.

Go to the beaches a little farther up the west coast. I would recommend Sklyfada or Kouratos (check my spelling of that one). You can rent a moped and get there in about 20 minutes. Didn't go to Olympia. The actual town of katakolon is very small.

Garbage strike. We skipped the tours as ruins were the weakest on the cruise. We took the tram to a great hotel beach. MSC had excursion there, but not RCCL. Shopping was good.
