We enjoyed walking around Antigua. It was clean and a beautiful island.

This is a crappy port with aggressive cab drivers, bad sidewalks and just difficult to walk around in. It is dingy and I do not feel safe in this port. I do not expect to be assaulted but it is unsafe to walk around in.

Beautiful island! Beautiful people! We took our own walking tour, found the local bus stop and went to the beach for the afternoon. Great snorkeling! Great day!

The island offers 365 different beaches, so we opted to take a taxi to a local beach on the Caribbean side of the island. If turquoise waters and powder white sands are on your bucket list, Antigua is certainly the place for you.

We were originally scheduled to go swim with stingrays but decided against it because of how long the tour was. On this day the group decided to stay lowkey as Palo Brunch was scheduled on an unexpected day because usually they are Days at Sea and not port days. The brunch was exquisite, the best it has ever been. After the brunch we all got off the ship and went shopping around the local port area. The people were a bit rude, but this port won’t loose stars because if they didn’t have something you wanted they knew where to send you. Antigua will forever have one of the most beautiful sailaways ever. The pictures and videos captured were magnificent and this port will claim the title of most beautiful for the entire trip.

We planned out our own shore excursion by contacting Quin Farara (find them on facebook) Rum shoppe and distillery. This is a third generation family owned business and Lisa the granddaughter did our tasting and rum punch making demo. It was such a good time getting to know the group there and the rum is fantastic. I recommend that you contact them!

Did an excursion that visited the key points of the island; not through NCL. People's experiences were mixed. Some vans were older, making it nearly impossible to see out the windows on the opposite side; cramped and uncomfortable. Another guest traded seats with me which significantly improved my experience (but not that of others in the van). One guest told me her van skipped some of the attractions due to road conditions. Some guides were more informative than others. Long lines backing up into the shopping area to get through initial security to get back onto the cruise ship.

We booked the Stingray Swim and Snorkel through NCL. It was a 30 minute bus ride to the facility and then another 10-15 boat ride out to the Sand bar where the sting Ray's are. So beautiful and amazing! Just note they do not let you wear any water shoes or socks so you are required to be barefoot while in the water with the Ray's. Bring money for photos - cash or card is alright and you do get one cup of rum punch afterwards.
