Can I do 5+? This was our best stop. Easy walk to the cultural icons, restaurants, street vendors and the "colour" that makes it a special place in the US of A. Don't do any excursion tours they are free a few blocks in. So many things close by for a first timer that you need not spend so much. repeat trips may benefit from the use of excursions.

So the port is a breathe of American fresh air... An American territory with some latin flare. A friend got a haircut, we had some authentic Puerto Rican food, and we caught a glimpse of umbrella street. It was a good port but most of the fun was at Senor Frogs right across from the ship itself. We spent less than $20 on drinks and shots but left dancing all the way back to the ship. I LOVE every Senor Frogs I've ever been too and this restaurant style location gets 2 thumbs up from me.

You MUST see the old fort! I have lots of pictures posted and it is a remarkable view! You do, however, need to be able to walk long distances if you want to see the whole things as their is a lot of walking involved. I think it was only around $7 a person, as well. Which was great. Make sure you ask the locals where to eat and not just eat some chain. You will be glad you did. I can not remember where we ate but it was so good!

We did not do an excursion in San Juan. However, we did walk the beach and enjoyed a nice meal and some beverages at Ceviche House. We normally would have walked around Old San Juan but we were in Carolina. We did walk around the streets and felt safe. The people we met said they were glad that people were back visiting and were hopeful that the power would be restored across San Juan in the coming weeks.

San Juan my favorite port!!! Lot of places to snack or eat, drink or just relax!!! El Morro has some of the best views! If you are departing from this port arrive early so you can enjoy it.

We've been to this port several times and always enjoyed old San Juan. This time we hopped on the ferry and went to Bacardi rum distillery where you can take a tour. It was nice and I had the best mojito ever.

I didn't think I would like San Juan but it was probably my favorite. We did the rainforest drive and it was beautiful the La Coca Falls was breathtaking. It's even better after the hurricane last year now you can see more of the falls. The only downer is you cant get up to the top of the mountain yet because of the roads from the hurricane. Still worth going to.. yes their tax on goods is high but didn't shop that much anyway. Also Senor Frogs was amazing!!!
