Did not do an excursion... walked to the public beach which was very nice. To get to the public beach... head straight off the dock and go into town... stick to the right once in town, follow the crowd... you'll find it.

We traveled on our own to Atlantis. Took ferry boat to Paradise Island and explored Atlantis. Then took taxi to John Waitling distillery. Had great Pina Coladas. Walked back to ship stopped at Cigar Factory and chocolate factory on the way and did some shopping.

One of the best ports EVER! Absolutely loved the people and mingling in with the culture a bit. My shipmates and I took a tour, got some delicious rum cake, bought some awesome souvenirs, and went to a tea shop that has world reknown properties in siding common health issues. 😁 I didn't buy the tean but the run I bought had me inebriated for hours. I'm looking forward to returning!

We didn't have any issues with pushy vendors if you walk through slowly ofcourse they will try to sell things to you or braid your hair if you keep moving through all you have to say is no Thank you. If you stop or go slowly they will think your interested in things so they approach. I had 1 women ask about hair braiding. I said no thanks and she said if you change your mind I'm Diana. I was seriously concerned about being harassed because i3f all the negative comments stating it. If you keep straight through the doors and walk right thru you'll have no problem. Going back to port no one asked us or bothered us. I think the people that review about pushy vendors are walking through looking at everything and ofcourse they are going to try to sell. We had a great experience everyone was nice walking up to Queens staircase and walking to Junkanoo was great. Junkanoo beach was also fantastic. Loud music playing awesome water we spent all day there $15 bucks for 2 loungers totally worth it! If you are afraid of other cultures don't visit here. Don't believe all the bad reviews. Just keep moving if you don't want to buy anything it's that simple. Junkanoo wasn't dirty alittle rocky/some glass in some places so take water shoes. The water was absolutely beautiful. The people are friendly. It's definitely an experience and I will definitely be back!
