Go to the beach, not shopping!

We paid for a Santo Domingo tour which was ok. Our guide, Albierto was good but he left us in the souvenir shop for far too long but rushed us through other areas. Also so much walking in ‘hotter than Hades’ heat. Be prepared for that. It’s a pretty city but the street vendors are overwhelming. Glad we did it but I wouldn’t again. Would have rather stayed on the ship and relaxed.

We were not impressed with this port. not that much to see when you get off ship unless you do an excursion. Had friends that took the little train that toured the city and all they saw was guns, they thought it was dirty..Not a good port

Recommend deleting this port of call. Nothing to do. Waste of time.

Awful, people were rude and gangsters. Selling cigars stuffed with banana leaves. Tour guide did not speak English.

Poorly planned city tour of Santo Domingo. Nothing to see in La Romana. Time wasted.
