Been here twice. Not much at the terminal other than a few shops and vendors. You cannot simply walk into town. You will have to book an excursion or take a mode of transportation to get to the nearest town.

Guide couldn't be understood and after touring the caves (which was the best part of the tour), the guide took us to a park, where we were over-run with locals, which I thought were begging for us to buy from them and they wouldn't leave us alone.

Not much to do and dirty. we booked a private excursion and almost did not get to go due to Carnival not allowing the tour company into the port. We met the company outside in the city and the tour went off without a hitch thanks to some quick thinking on our part.
