8 Night Exotic Southern Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip)
Sail Date: March 27, 2011
Ship: Carnival Miracle
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Family (older children)

The ship in itself was very nice and clean. The bar service for getting sodas for the kids at dinner and at the deck bars was poor, the bar tenders apparently dont like to pour sodas unless you are paying so they get tipped. We never saw our room steward but the room was always clean and kept up. The food in the dining room was good but nothing out of the ordinary.. Nick & Nora's was excellent and enjoyed twice while cruising. More shore excursions could have been available in Dominican Republic.

The only thing there is Margaritaville., the flowrider is a must. The area is clean and well kept. we enjoyed having the beach close by. The shopping was minimal but available. The dune buggy excursion was "Great".

Not much to do and dirty. we booked a private excursion and almost did not get to go due to Carnival not allowing the tour company into the port. We met the company outside in the city and the tour went off without a hitch thanks to some quick thinking on our part.

Nice place but nothing to write home about.

Beautiful beaches and a fun day..

Cons: never saw my room stewart, the shows were often repeated, the bar service was so-so
