Not my favorite beachy port that I've been to. I would much prefer to go to an actual private island that is run by carnival so that food and drink is included. We wanted to go to a popular spot, Jack's Shack, it was all the way on the end of the beach and just such a far walk. There didn't seem to be an actual pathway or a tram or anything that went down there so we had to walk on the beach which is tiring. Huge Margaritaville with a pool area closer to where the ship docks but as you can imagine that was just packed and not really my scene. Wanted more from this island, not worth getting off the ship for the whole day.

I was really looking forward to visiting Margaritaville and Jack's Shack and was SO disappointed. Margaritaville was just super-crowded - when the DJ actually complained that she "had" to play "Margaritaville", because "apparently, it's like our anthem or something", I knew that the atmosphere was not the same as other locations. Because our arrival had been delayed, there was another ship that had docked prior to Breeze, so there were no beach chairs available. It was VERY hot and humid, so we didn't bother with the 10-minute beach "hike" to Jack's Shack and just went back on board and enjoyed the minimal crowd on the ship. If you don't do an excursion, it's just a giant commercialized area. We would not go out of our way to return - been there, done that.

One word...gorgeous! The beaches are beautiful! This is one port where you don't need to go on an excursion. There is a beautiful beach right off of the port, but if you do go on an excursion I strongly recommend the Home Sweet Home excursion! My husband and I had a blast! They are very welcoming and take great care of you. It is an all you can eat and drink. The food is amazing and the drinks were great! Crusher the bartender is great! The workers do everything to make sure you have a fun, relaxing time. Great experience!

I have been to Grand Turk many times and was looking forward to just spending time on the beach. The beach was not clean, there was tons of seaweed that you had to swim over to get to clear water. Also, there are island people trying to charge for chairs and umbrellas which never happened before. Everyone needs to know that ONLY the chairs with green umbrellas are free. Also, the people try to sell you things by constantly walking around. Not the Grand Turk I have been to in previous years.

We did a 2 hour snorkeling excursion through Grand Turk Diving Company here. I did like going through them versus the big Carnival ones because our group was small (4 of us) vs the 25-30 people on the bigger boats. The port also had a cruise pool resort similar to Amber Cove that was nice and free (clean bathrooms) - you could buy drinks & food. The beach here looked nice, but we were too tired out from snorkeling to hang out there - maybe next time. They also had shopping that looked similar to the stuff in Amber Cove. Didn't really get a good feel for what the island was really about because everything was concentrated around the beach.

I really wish we would have stayed on the beach and not booked an excursion. Having done a Chukka excursion in Fallmouth last year, I had expected the same experience. The staff was rude, cut our tour short and herded us like cattle. This is the only excursion that I've ever complained about.
