considering their economy and state, nice to see carnival invested in the island.

We rented a golf cart through Omar to see the island. 6pax for $120. We were amazed at how desolate the island was. It seems that everyone works at the cruise port because we hardly saw anyone outside or on the streets. The light house was underwhelming but glad we saw it. It was $3 per person to get on the grounds...happy to help the locals out. The cruise port was so overcrowded with 2 ships there. This was our third time there and our least favorite stop because of the crowds.

We loved Grand Turk and it was our favorite port of call on our trip. I wanted to give it 5 stars, but I understand there isn’t a lot going on outside of the port area. That said, hit the beach, it’s right next to the ship! Green umbrella chairs are free which is an awesome perk. If you like snorkeling, the area right by the ship proved to be extraordinary. As a reef aquarium hobbyist, I can tell you the variety of fish species you will see is great! There are no reefs in this area, however there are many areas to explore along the bottom if you are not afraid to go down to check out the small clusters of rock.

My least favorite stop of the cruise was Grand Turk. I felt like we were railroaded straight into the shopping plaza. The beach was overcrowded, very Rocky, in fact we know of one little girl that cut her foot very badly. The locals were everywhere aggressively selling everything from alcohol to Hair Braiding. For some that was intimidating but thankfully I am from the city one look and they knew to back up off me. But seriously though once I found my wife which took about an hour once we got separated we were able to have a good time have some drinks for about an hour, get some sun before we had to rush back to the ship. What I'm saying is it the time away from the ship was too short to enjoy. Will definitely have a better plan if we ever go again which is highly doubtful.

The water here is beautiful. Did not get to take our tour on the Rainbow Calypso tram due to tram equipment failure. So we took to the beach. Went to the right side of pier and it was very rocky to get out to the sandy bottom, did not go to the left of the pier because it was very crowded. There were two cruise ships docked that day. Had no problem getting the free clam shells offer at this location.

Fantastic! Great locals who were genuinely friendly. Beautiful waters and an easy, convenient port dock for access and amenities.

Do not spend more than $20- to rent two beach chairs and umbrella.
