Tried to get out and walk at this port; but was advised against it. We like to walk around port towns to try and get the flavor of the village or town. Since we came in at night and there was only one option of going on a shuttle to a show, we were hoping to walk around and explore the village. As soon as we left the gates (against the better judgement of the security guards) we were approached for money for 'walking tours' and decided to turn back to the ship. Would have been nice to have had some transportation provided by the ship to town and a little direction as to where we could safely explore.

Although we enjoyed the architecture there really was nothing else worth seeing. I'd love to see this port omitted from the itinerary.

The Catamaran Sail and Snorkel was great! The boat was beautiful and well-maintained. Our tour guide was personable and knowledgeable. Drinking rum and dancing the meringue made for a very memorable tour.

This is a great place but you dont have enought time, does not qualify to be announced as a seperate port, just across the bay from Casa De Campo.

Had a great time at the all inclusive resort excursion. Includes open bar and activities on the beach.

From what we saw here, this was an exceptionally clean, beautiful island. It was amazing that this is about 1/2 of an island that also includes Haiti. The visit to Altos de Chavon was our favorite part of the entire cruise. A delightful part of our cruise experience.

We took a bus ride to Altos. Stunning views.

There really is nothing to do at this port. I have been to both the marina and the artist village and it's a 30 minute visit after a 20 minuted ride. 2 of the tours other passengers booked were very disappointing.
