My favorite port! Loved the energy as soon as you walk through the port. Very clean. Super friendly people. We did an excursion at Ocean World and it was such a wonderful experience. We had a lot of fun with the dolphins. This is a port I’d love to visit again.

Our prepaid excursion to the Serenity VIP excursion was cancelled due not enough people so we just stayed more local. Amber Cove in DR was nice, but in order to go to a beach, you had to take a cab. Most cabs wanted $80 round trip to a distant beach. There was a smaller one within viewing distance of the port and that was 5 minutes away for $6, but you had to know to ask or they would drive you further for more $$.

Amazing island! We took a tour with Outback Adventure and got to see so much of the Dominican life. The locals were some of the nicest people I have ever met. We were driving in our bus and everyone stopped to wave at us. locals loved talking small talk with us, with whatever English they could speak. Try to visit a local school and bring school supplies for the students!

By far the best port and best shopping, even a resort that is generous to let you swim...The Monster trucks were too big and wild for me, thank God we were traded a smaller truck when we had to move to a different truck due to one of their packed WILD trucks breaking down...my prayers were answered cuz that diesel smell, sitting in the hot truck with blocked window due to the size of that truck made me take a Bonine and have a bag ready!!! They were sweet to give us cold bottle water, but take the smaller safari truck for the 45 min ride rough road to their WILD Adventure part for Zip lining. Zip Line was nice but not real exciting...flying over the water was very nice, but the heat and climbing the stairs wasn't. Thank you for the water mid way, nice touch. Staff was great although one guide was a little TESTY. Lunch was great and the little beach, showers and palm trees were lovely.
