Unless you do an excursion I suggest not even getting off the boat. The cruise lines should really warn the passengers about the locals. I was asked to smoke marijuana at least five times. Street people are also extremely pushy trying to push their "free" items on tourist and then wanting money once they hand their stuff over.

Another family favorite. The Jamaican atmosphere near the port is great!!! So much energy and music. We went to Margaritaville close to the port. Had lunch and was able to use their pool and beach area. The water here is beautiful!

We enjoyed our stop here but for some reason we docked at an old commercial dock with no amenities. The other ship that was in port docked at a nice cruise dock set up with shops for cruise passengers. We climbed the Dunn's River Falls and had a good time.

There is a small beach/swimming area right where the ship docks - free of charge. There is some shopping right off the pier, but the high pressure sales tactics are a big turnoff to me. If you want to do more than just hang out at the beach by the pier, take an excursion and get away from the pier area. There was a party catamaran that looked like a lot of fun. Lots of offers for ground tours by folks on the pier.

Be wary of non-sanctioned excursions. We walked around port and did a little light shopping before heading back to the ship. Our son and daughter in law had a great time when they rode the bobsled.

We did not like this port one bit. If you are not doing one of the excursions for the blue hole or the Dunn’s falls not really anything else.

Got a great deal off ship $20 each and bus ride and little tour then quickly to Blue Bamboo beach. Chairs included. Not one person hassled us. Excellent. And this is Jamaica. We enjoyed the beach. Drinks and food were available but we enjoyed the detox day. Water only. Great music.

Our best day was spent it Jamaica. Dunn’s river falls made the trip. Felt the excursion was overpriced and disappointed that our initial excursion had to be swapped out.
