Our excursion went a bit over the time so we didn't get to do everything we wanted....we biked down the mountain and the roads were terrible - I think next time I would strongly suggest doing the shopping tour and then going over to Island Village and enjoying the wonderful beach area...we didn't have time and it would have been far less expensive and more fun. The Mountain bike trip was ok but there were too many people and we didn't get to snorkle at the end like they said we would - that was disappointing.

It was okay, if you don't mind being continually hassled by the locals. VERY annoying

The non-stop harrassment by the locals was awful. We took a tour to Dun's River Falls. After a wonderful drive through Fern Gully, we were taken to 2 different shopping centers, parked in front of "recommended" stores and then totally ripped off. When we got to Dun's River Falls, we were accosted non-stiop by locals pushing "free gifts" in return for "donations" on the way into the park, in the shopping area of the park, itself, and on the way out of the park. It was scary and aggravating. The climb up the falls was terrific but a little more difficult than the brochures indicate. Tour guide made no effort to indicate restful locations for people who weren't going to climb the falls.

We did a private excursion (in a taxi). It was nice. The taxi driver was a wealth of information and we got a history lesson as well as a tour of the city. It was a two hour tour. I don't remember all of the places we went, but we were able to get out and walk around when we stopped. We stopped at one place and there was a DJ, a bar and plenty of other tourists. I was surprised to see marijuna being sold and brownies for sale (smh). We also ate at a restaurant and our driver came back and picked us up. We had ox tails, jerk chicken and a rice dish. It was good......

Had been here before - 10 years ago. Changed for the worse. The Dunn's River Falls were fun but crowded. Got duped into a group cab ride to and from that only left 2 hours at the Falls, which wasn't enough. Walk past the uniformed girls organizing the group cabs and grab you're own cab. When you're good and ready to leave the Falls, there are a zillion cab drivers ready to take you back. We didn't know this. We thought, as everyone else did, that the group cab was our only option to get to the Falls if you didn't pay for a ship excursion.
