The island is dirty and they take advantage of you if you are a white family. Our family of 6 was charged $120 for an all day bus tour (which I have to say I feared for my life several times with the way the bus driver drove) and a family of 12 African American who we shared the bus with were only charged $60 (total BS). The beach they took us to was dirty and kinda of gross, The shops offered 50% off but tried to charge us full price when we went to the cash register (nice try lady), The only positive thing I can say about this experience is at least we gave our money to the locals, who clearly need all the financial help they can get. I will not visit this port ever again. Such a disappointment.

Went to hip strip and shopping, most people very friendly. Margaritaville...Not impressed with the service at the restaurant. Waitresses not too friendly. Charging 18% gratuity automatically and then expecting more. Not cool.

We did the white water rafting. Although, there was not much white water (more of a float trip), it was very informational and fun. I really enjoyed this excursion.

There is nothing at this port so you have to book an excursion if you plan to leave the ship. We did the Dolphin Encounter and Doctors Cave beach excursion. The excursion itself was fabulous but the guide was consistently asking for tips and promoting marijuana that it really took away from the overall experience. I would not recommend Montego Bay as a port of call.
