wow. just wow. we weren’t expecting much from this port but it made the cruise worth it. it was the most beautiful port i’ve ever seen! we went on the carnival miracle 7 night western caribbean tampa round trip. we weren’t the biggest fans of the boat itself but man was this port wonderful. it offered a FREE nature walk that lead you to a amazing beach. carnival offers a excursion to this beach that costs about 40-45$ for two people; but if you just walk the nature walk you find this beach and get a chair for free instead of having to buy the excursion. they also have a massage tiki hut and a hut for fishes that eat the dead skin off your feet. though they are not free it is so worth the price because the massage i had there was one of the best ever! I LOVE THIS PORT💕 and will for sure be going back to it! I 100% RECOMMEND THIS PORT❤️🛳

Mahogany Bay, Roatan Honduras: We did not book a specific excursion at this stop but when got off the ship we went to taxi area. We found International Tours taxis. Our driver was Francisco. Please request Francisco. You will not regret it. He was awesome. All the drivers are English speaking drivers and will take you wherever you want to go and stay with you the entire time. It was about $45 person. We told Francisco we just wanted to see the island, the culture(not the tourist areas), and learn a bit of history about the island. FANTASTIC is not a strong enough word to describe Francisco. He took us into the neighborhoods showed us the homes, cemetery, schools, etc. he shared such great history about the culture. He allowed us to stop for pics. He even gave us a extensive history lesson on the Bojangles Fried Chicken restaurant😁( the only American fast food restaurant on the Island of Roatan). He took us to all the places that the locals go. He took us to the only shopping plaza in Roatan. We ate lunch at Snappers Seafood House. The fried conch and fried shrimp was delicious. Francisco stayed with us and translated for us in every shop we visited. The Pacers shop had very inexpensive t-shirts and souvenirs(you MUST stop/shop there if you tour the island). We visited the ice cream shop in plaza and my husband bought ice cream for everyone in the shop. It was such a great intimate experience with the locals. We returned to Mahogany Bay beach and enjoyed about 2 1/2hrs there. The beach is absolutely stunning with plenty of lounge chairs and shaded areas.

Mahogany Bay is absolutely gorgeous! The port shops were so much fun and the locals were so friendly (not pushy). We walked all over and ended up at a beautiful beach where we relaxed and cooled off til we walked back to the ship. The scenery and view was amazing! Definitely a favorite port!

We were at Mahogany Bay last week. We booked an excursion to Little French Key. We paid extra to go to AJ’s monkey and sloth sanctuary. It was $99 each. We had to walk to the transportation since they cannot pick us up right at the port. We were taken to AJ’s and had a great time with the sloths and monkeys and macaws. We then were taken to the area to get on a boat to Little French Key. We had a ten minute tour and then found some chairs to relax. We got a meal voucher and two drink coupons each. They can hold up to 800 people but had less than 40 booked on this day. It was amazing and we felt spoiled. They also have a small animal sanctuary and other mini adventures you can pay for like a swim with pigs and horseback riding. Kayaks and paddle boards were included. The food was amazing.
