My husband and I have left a piece of our hearts in Jamaica. It is such a beautiful place. It is poor in terms of financial stability for the citizens, but despite circumstances, everyone is so laid back. It really is "no problem, mon." We met a sweet carpenter on the road who had "sandals" made from the soles of tennis shoes and scraps of fabric. He had sewn his pants many times over. It was obvious in U.S. terms he was very poor, but he was one of the most joyful men we had ever met. The pace of Jamaica is so much slower than American culture. We absolutely loved the vibe, the culture, the food, the relaxed atmosphere. So peaceful.

We went on a Jungle Tubing excursion - a nice time, beautiful scenery. Not much beach time at end but we really enjoyed ourselves. Loved the shops - great prices and some very unique hand made crafts.
