Bus tour was very good, would avoid local shops and Margaritaville.

Jewel Paradise was a very nice resort. We had a total of 6 hours in this port. Not realizing that the resort was one hour drive one way. We barely spent 3 1/2 - 4 hours at the resort which cost us $200. The food buffet was great and the resort beautiful. Going from the nice beach into the water we had to be careful for the large rocks on the bottom. Me wife had broken her leg in March and was still on the mend, so caution was essential.

So, the port itself is very new and very clean, however I don’t think there was any way I could have been prepared for the amount of trash EVERYWHERE as soon as you leave be gates in Falmouth. We took an excursion to Adventure Falls and the Good Hope Estate which was so fun, but the entire drive I was so distracted by the sheer amount of garbage. Piled on the side of the roads for the entire half hour drive, in people’s yards, in fields with livestock, people’s yards... everywhere you look there’s trash. I feel like the cruise ships could offer some sort of incentive to the locals to clean it up. It was disgusting.

We only walked the port so can’t review the port as a whole. But the port was clean and decent. Small but worth a walk through. Highly recommend getting a Jamaican patty for something authentic. You can get them from a little bright yellow shack. It’s sort of in the center of the port. Ask the crew on ship and they’ll be able to tell you. They are frequent visitors to it when in port. We ate with “Aladdin” from Adventures Ocean. And enjoyed a great lunch

whatever the price is, you can always bring down. we brought down a pair of $45 sunglasses to $10 which quite frankly gets me upset because they are ripping you off. Paid $17 a plate for jerk chicken and pork and the plate wasn't even big.

The port was nice and open. It didn’t feel at all crowded. The shop employees did like to talk as you looked around, but I only experienced one that was really pushy.

Liked the port itself, but did not like how far it was for shore excursion. Did not do shore excursion because of the distance.

VIP Bamboo Beach Club excursion has it's ups & downs. The 2 1/2hrs of total time in the van that transports you to the club isn't a comfortable trip. The club itself is a nice time. The food is good and the service is exceptional. You will always have a beverage in your hand,, maybe two. In the end, in my opinion it's not worth all of that van time for approximately the same amount of time on the beach. So don't do this excursion from Falmouth. If your port it Ocho Rios then I would suggest it because the van ride will only be about 15 minutes.
