Review summary

Overall we love to cruise and hope to cruise again next year as well with Royal when the prices are right. If you have never cruised before I highly encourage you to at least try a cruise. It has something for everyone.

Embarkation

It was really smooth, just a lot of waiting around to board with little communication. I would call it controlled chaos.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food Services were really good, esp. the main dining room. Our wait staff was amazing at dinner. We have a 7 year old and she loved interacting with them every night.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We used the Pools everyday, fitness center and we even Ice Skated.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
So if it was your first time on Liberty I am sure people would rate the entertainment excellent, but we were disappointed since the shows were no different than two years ago. So we did not attend them. That was disappointing.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Best part of cruising with Royal. The Kids program is amazing and our daughter met others her age that she not only played with every night at the Kids Center but also through out the day in the pool as well. She looked forward to heading up to the kids club every night.

Cabin / Stateroom

Overall it was good. We were not impressed with the state room attendant. He did not come by to introduce himself to us and had to be reminded to return our laundry. He just was not personable.

Ship tip

IF you have kids definitely have them at least try the kids program. If they are outgoing or even shy they all love the games and experience.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

George Town, Grand Cayman

3 out of 5
WE did an excursion and it was completely disorganized and zero communication. We stood around for almost an hour with no one telling us what was happening. The employees that were there were more concerned with each other and playing on their phones. People were very frustrated and angry.

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
best port of call of the three. Very well organized and the port is awesome.
