I loved Jamaica. The port was the best one of our trip. It was amazing. We took the 1700s Plantation Tour, and this excursion exceeded my expectations. We selected it to accommodate my parents, so I wasn't sure what I'd get from the experience. Nevertheless, it was amazing. The location is beautiful, the food was really good, and our tour guides were super-helpful.

Did not do excursion. Went in Rolex shop, Harley Davidson shop, and Diamond International shop to price ring. Down side was the Harley Davidson shop, made a purchase, attempted to use Amex card and ended up having to use visa card. I personally think that Amex card failure to complete purchase was intentional to force use of another card. Don't know that to be a fact; just a hunch.

Beautiful port, very clean and modern. Watch out for the mosquitos, they are numerous from the swampy outlying area. We went on a bus tour to Montego Bay which was very scenic and pleasant.

Not a lot in this port unless you book an excursion. We visited the shops inside the cruise terminal and they were clean and you werent't hassled by anyone. The town itself did not appear to have many things you would want to see.

I would love to go back to Jamaica one day. We did the dolphin excursion that took up our whole day. It was lots of fun, and our tour guide "daddy" Norman was hilarious and great! The only downside is the drive is over an hour to the dolphin facility, hence why the excursion took the whole time.

We took the catamaran, snorkeling, beach party excursion. We went with our friends and family and had a great time. We snorkeled for about 45 min and then they had complimentary rum punch and other drinks. Then they took us to the margaritaville beach party. You have to buy the food and drinks there and we stayed there for 1.5hrs. Then they picked us back up and we had more drinks. This excursion is not for families with young kids, we took our teenage kids and had fun. Then we went back to port.

Falmouth port is beautiful, the shore excursion was a tubing activity which was so much fun, but since we booked through shoreexcursions.com, the rep ended up combining three different excursions into one bus, which for us, meant waiting for those to finish their excursions while we wait on bus, we were hoping to go do something else or go back to ship early and what was supposed to be a 2 hour excursion turned into an all day bus ride, not happy will follow up with shoreexcursions on this.

Falmouth is just alright... there is a beautiful area inside the Port where you can walk around and find "touristy" stuff. If you decide to travel outside the gates, the locals are a bit much. We tried to walk around and see the town but we were CONSTANTLY berated with offers of tours, taxis and smoke. Though we fully understand it's part of their culture, the locals would be a bit rude if you declined (even politely). We ended up heading back to the ship pretty early due to this.

Everyone said stay in the port. We chose to hire a taxi for 2 hours to show us the island. Very poor, but so interesting to see. He took us to the wealthy areas and told us about the lives of the islanders. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing Jamaica.

Stayed on port at Margaritaville...The 2 armed officials standing at the gates into the country with AKs and Warning signs posted up was enough for me to decide we wouldn't be exploring farther than the port.
