Review summary

We had a nice time on our cruise with friends. We enjoyed the food in the dining room. I had a relaxing time in the spa. Our steward was the best and he really took care of our family.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We chose to have Royal Caribbean shuttle pick us up from the airport. We were at the airport on time and we were the last group of people to leave from the airport. While our other friends that took a Lyft ride got to the ship way before we did, we were disappointed and will not recommend this to our friends.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We really enjoyed the wait staff. We had a large group of 19 and we had problems with the service. It did get a little better towards the end of the cruise. We did not try the specialty restaurants but our friends did. They went to the Mexican restaurant Sabor and enjoyed it. The buffets were good for lunch, I really enjoyed the dining room for breakfast and lunch. I wish I went there more.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I went to the spa and enjoyed the massage that I received. We went to the adult pool and enjoyed it.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We went and saw the Saturday Night fever show and it was excellent.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
My son is 17 and enjoyed hanging out at the lounge and met new friends. Kids that are 17 have a curfew of 1am on the ship.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
We loved our room steward! He knew our names, and knew where our friends were next door. The waiters were very nice but the service was ok.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The dining room is beautiful. The promenade deck 5 was very nice and very clean on the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We thought our room would have bunk beds for our kids. Other than that we loved our room. Being on floor 12 it was very rocky and we felt a movement on the ship. The area that we were in was very quiet.

Ship tip

They allowed people to bring a case of water and 2 bottles of wine per room.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

We decided not to do an excursion. My friends and I took a taxi to Señor Frogs and had a great time. Then we went shopping nearby.

George Town, Grand Cayman

We had a wonderful time snorkeling on a catamaran. It was quite a drive to the destination. The water was beautiful. Great for families.

Falmouth, Jamaica

We took the catamaran, snorkeling, beach party excursion. We went with our friends and family and had a great time. We snorkeled for about 45 min and then they had complimentary rum punch and other drinks. Then they took us to the margaritaville beach party. You have to buy the food and drinks there and we stayed there for 1.5hrs. Then they picked us back up and we had more drinks. This excursion is not for families with young kids, we took our teenage kids and had fun. Then we went back to port.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We took the shuttle back to the airport. We were #2 to disembark and that was great, but our flight didn't leave until 3pm. We were at the airport very early. We made the most of it and hung out with friends. It was very easy for us to get our luggage and go through customs.
