Shopping day. There are many shops on the port where you can find some great deals, but if you just want to hang out by the water and listen to music while drinking frozen beverages, I highly recommend Fat Tuesdays.

We couldn't go over to the Mexico mainland due to the cartel issue with the ferry transport, so we spent time on the island and had a great trip to some Mayan ruins and the Cacao factory. Patricio was a great tour guide and had in-depth knowledge of the Mayan culture and the island. We also spent some time a paradise beach where we had some good food, drinks and beach time. Great excursions.

Great shopping. Clean port. Mr. Sanchos was awesome. Good food, drinks. If you know ahead of time people always will be coming by to sell you things you will just except it say no thank you and they move on. They do have someone that goes around with birds and an Iguana to take pictures. I can never resist the animals but that's just me.

We booked our snorkel excursion through Cozumel Cruise Excursions. They picked us up at El Cid Hotel and we went to the 2 main reefs plus El Ceilo where we saw the BIGGEST star fish I've ever seen. Then we went to shallow water where we swam amongst stingrays. The Captain made fresh guacamole and pico de gallo. We were able to snorkel at our leisure which was great since last year we went on the Fury Catamaran and had to follow the guy with the bouy. No time to just snorkel. Best day ever!

If you have a long day in Cozumel. You should try Excoret. Lots of things to do. If you have a chance don't miss the Mayan ball game and the pre-game ceremony at one of the tribes villages. It's like an ancient Mayan theme park. The under ground snorkeling is also fun. To much to see and do without 6-8hrs.

Cozumel is more the tourist port lots of fun things to do and see. Oceans are beautiful food is yummy!!! Port is easy to get off an on................

Did the buggy tour, it was great!!! Got to see a lot of the island. We actually meet another couple that we became friends with. I would do this tour again

Great port! We felt safe there even with all the bad things going on around Mexico. We did the Passion Island excursion through Carnival and loved it. Catamaran ride out to the private island, beach area, lunch buffet, open bar, shops, and kayaking. Great place to relax and gorgeous! The main port had the usual shops, but the people there were not pushy or aggressive.

Toured downtown and got to see their Independence day parade with the locals
