My favorite place to shop. Can't wait to be back in September on liberty of the sea and again in November 2019 on carnival dream. That will make my 4th visit to this beautiful port.

Great port, beautiful island. I loved San Gervasio and we saw a great deal of wildlife. I enjoyed experiencing the wild side of the island. We had a car with a driver.

We didn't have an excursion and initially planned on taking the ferry to the mainland to shop. We had to tender in and it was a pretty rough ride. Way worse than grand cayman. After that we had to jump in a taxi to get to the ferry. After that we decided not to go because it was a 45 min ferry ride and we didn't want to miss the boat coming back and didn't want to spend our day traveling. So we walked and shopped back from the downtown area to the port. Had a margarita and found plenty of souvenirs. My advice is if you don't like the price walk away, more times than not you may find it cheaper in a nearby shop. Prices varied from store to store and some haggled some on the price. Many people had issues with the store keepers trying to persuade them to their store and yes they try to get you in there. But honestly this is their life and how they make a living, if you don't see any thing you want to look at then say no thank you and keep walking. I didn't find any of them to be rude tho. Just trying to get tourists to take a look. Some of them are amusing, one told us "good deals" and we say no thank you we are good. Then he said everything's free. We just laughed and kept walking. You got to have some fun at work right and it is HOT there so just have fun with them.

Been here numerous times. Take a taxi into town. Do some shopping. Dicker with them. You get much better prices in town, look for the big orange building. Then take a taxi to a beach. Paradise Beach is very nice. Mr. Sanchos has a lot of action. If you want more quiet and adults only, book Nochi Cocom. Enjoy!

Went to Mr. Sanchos. There was plenty to do there. Tons of people. We got the romance package but didn't spend but maybe 40 minutes under our cabana. We enjoyed our massage and a fish pedicure. Everyone we talked to was very nice and talked about their life there. Would love to go again and have more time!

Cozumel is one of my favorite ports. Biggest recommendation I have is to get away from the cruise port. We like to rent a car from a reputable place (there’s an Avis very close to Langosta Pier and an Alamo very close to Puerta Maya. Or another Avis in the Grand Park Royal hotel which is about half a mile from Puerta Maya and maybe 1/4 mile from international pier, so all walking distance) We have found that generally Avis is cheaper, and you can rent a car for $40-50 for the day from them including taxes and fees and insurance. The downtown area is a little hectic to drive through but not terrible, and once you are out of downtown it is basically one road around the whole island, so it is very easy to navigate on your own. There are plenty of points to stop off and enjoy the view, do some shopping, or grab some food. I highly recommend Coconuts for food. It has a fantastic view and the food is great, and not overpriced (about $9-15/meal). The beef tacos are great and the “Sex at Coconuts” drink is fabulous. But keep in mind that their are quite a few stairs up to the restaurant, as it is built up on a cliff. There is a rough ramp to the far left of the stairs (any of the vendors at the bottom can probably show you where) but it is still not the best for those with mobility difficulties. A lot of the public beach areas have pretty rough waves, but there are a couple areas where there is a natural shallow pool past where the waves break. If you go to Punta Sur, it is $14 to enter but it’s worth it. It’s an eco park where a lot of turtles nest, and they also have a couple beaches and a neat lighthouse you can go to the top of for another great view. The beaches here are a lot more calm than the other public beach areas and one of them has a restaurant on it that is pretty good (and usually you get a free drink from the restaurant with entry) There is also a Mayan ruin along the drive that you can go back to. The whole road around the island is about 40-50 miles, so usually there is plenty of time to stop and take your time and enjoy the views. And it will only take about $10 in gas.

Cozumel was a great port, hired a taxi to go around the island and to our surprise the driver was and avid wildlife watcher, photographer and cenote diver, took us to some amazing places, loved it, then came the shopping, good prices on a lot of goods. I’LL BE BACK (on my best Arnold’s voice).

The port is sooo beautiful!! So much awesome shopping, friendly people, good food and bars. The water is gorgeous, clear and turquoise. Did a snorkeling excursion and wow I was impressed! The first one we were supposed to do in the mainland was canceled because they were having complications apparently. But we went to Fat Tuesdays and did some shopping. Beautiful weather made it perfect!
