Definitely touristy, but nice. We walked from the port to downtown, but taxis are not bad (took one back because we were tired!), and the drivers are fantastic.

We were drugged at the San Francisco beach resort....and our credit card was charged $600 for 10 drinks and a plate of nachos. be very careful

Definitely had the most to walk around and do if you don't have an excursion. However, highly recommend the beach and jeep tours, as you get taken to areas you'd never be able to see on your own, visit an incredible beach with snorkeling and lunch included, followed by a complimentary tequila tour
