Great port, everyone was so friendly. We didn’t get as attacked by vendors as the other ports. We went to the Mayan ruins, they didn’t have as much ruins as we had hoped, we also went snorkeling that was fun we had to stay in our group as we looked at the breathtaking underwater world and we went to a tequila tasting and lunch, I had never tried tequila before so it gave me the chance to try it, turns out I don’t like tequila and the lunch was good.

Went on Tulum Ruin with beach break. The ferry was okay but did not like the constant hawking of goods and such. The bus ride was good and ac was good. The ruins were crowed but good. Beach break we got back in the bus and drove over to another area with a buffet lunch (good too) and a beach with clean changing area/bath rooms and bar. Then back in the bus to port and a rushed walk to catch the ferry for the return ride. Overall it was great and the tour guide was awesome.

Went to downtown Cozumel first on a recommendation from a friend and had fun bartering with the locals . Then went back to port and loved that too with all the choices they have

Cozumel port is way too crazy. You really need to book an excursion or take a taxi elsewhere... or you get haggled to purchase things nonstop. We didn't enjoy this stop.

We enjoyed Cozumel and did an ATV in the jungle/Beach excursion. The ATV track was rough and bumpy and so much fun! The beach was nice but nearly as clear and beautiful as Grand Cayman. There was lots of pushy sales men/women who would come up to you on the beach which was distracting. The beach did offer lots of fun activities for kids with various floating bouncy houses on the water.

We booked an excursion through the ship to go to the "Secret River" inside caves. The tour started with a ferry ride from the pier (very close to the ship) over to Playa Del Carmen, about 40 minutes away. At the pier in Playa Del Carmen, the tour guides met the group and led us through the port area shopping district. We were divided into groups of about 10 people and loaded onto buses. The bus took us to "Rio Secreto" which was off paved roads for about the last 15 miles. Once at the location, we were given lockers, wetsuits, water shoes, flotation vests, and a helmet with a light on it. We were asked to get dressed into bathing suits and do a quick fresh water rinse/shower before suiting up. Once dressed, we had the option to take a long a walking stick and several from the group grabbed them. Looking back, the walking stick was no help and more of a hindrance once in the cave. The walk in the cave was mostly in water, at times over our heads (but we floated) and the surface underneath was rough, rocky, and slippery. Note: Great excursion, but there is also a great potential for cuts, scrapes, falling while walking in the water, etc. The tour group was led through the cavern and a photographer followed along. Cameras, phones, electronics, etc are not allowed into the cave. They sell photo packages after the tour, but to be honest, I don't see how we tourists could do the excursion with a camera or phone etc. This is not an easy stroll and your full attention needs to be on where you are stepping and watching what to avoid. Not to mention being in water for 99% of the walk, sometimes over your head. Great excursion, but if you have difficulty with balance or walking, etc it may not be where you want to go.

We went to Mr. Sancho's beach resort for the day. It was crowded in port and we had to wait a bit in the hot sun to get a taxi. It was quite crowded at the resort too, but we had so much fun and didn't have to to leave our loungers to get food or drink unless we wanted to. Was a great beach day, but it was quite busy there, so not as relaxing as some might hope, but we didn't mind. The delay between food service got longer and longer as the day went on, but there was a buffet you could get food at.
